Life skills are essentially those abilities that help promote overall well being and competence in young people as they face the realities of life.

Life skills include psycho social competencies and interpersonal skills that help people make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with managing their lives in a healthy and productive manner.

As adolescence is a vital stage of growth and development, that marks the period of transition from childhood to adulthood. It is characterized by rapid physiological changes and psycho social maturation. Adolescence is also the stage when young people extend their relationships beyond parents and family and are intensely influenced by their peers and the outside world in general. In order to help our students to adapt and adjust well with the changing demands of society, the school emphasizes on life skills education as an integral part of entire education system

Experiential and Reflective workshops are conducted on topics like

10. Coping with emotions
Different methods that are used to enhance Life Skills in students are:ƒ Class discussions ,ƒ Brainstorming,ƒ Role plays, Special Assembly based on Life Skills topics,ƒ Case studies, ƒ Story telling ,ƒ Debates etc.
